MRAS, a pioneering leader in the aerospace sector, is seeking a skilled Composite Technician to join our dedicated Engineering & Maintenance team. With a focus on the advancement of jet engine components, particularly integrally bladed rotors (IBRs), MRAS excels in providing high-quality, innovative solutions. As a Composite Technician, you will play a crucial role in fabricating and repairing advanced composite materials used in aerospace applications, ensuring they meet our stringent engineering specifications and industry standards. Responsibilities Fabricating and repairing composite materials for aircraft components according to predefined specifications and schematics. Using tools and implements like autoclaves, ply cutters, and hand tools to manipulate materials. Evaluating and inspecting finished items for adherence to quality and engineering standards. Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated NDT reports. Maintaining clean and safe work areas in compliance with safety protocols specific to composite materials handling. Documenting manufacturing and repair processes for quality assurance and future referencing. Collaborating with engineering and production teams to develop and improve techniques and processes for composite fabrication. Required Skills Proficient in the use of specialized tools for composite fabrication and repair. Adept in reading and interpreting technical documentation and blueprints. Strong understanding of composite materials and their application in aerospace engineering. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail. Ability to follow complex instructions and work effectively in a team.
