Quality Assurance Specialist Quality Assurance / Compliance Finksburg, MD Caring Hands Inc. is a licensed Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centered services to individuals with developmental disabilities. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance, quality improvement, and service excellence across all programs. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Quality Assurance Specialist to support compliance efforts through audits, documentation reviews, incident monitoring, and quality improvement initiatives. This role is essential in ensuring adherence to DDA regulations, COMAR requirements, and organizational policies and procedures. Compensation $20-$28/hour Full-Time Job Summary The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for monitoring organizational compliance, auditing records and documentation, reviewing incident reports, and assisting leadership with corrective action plans and quality improvement efforts. This position helps ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with DDA standards and regulatory requirements. Key Duties Audit documentation, service records, and personnel files for compliance Monitor incident reports and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are completed Assist with developing and tracking corrective action plans Conduct internal compliance reviews and quality assurance audits Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for quality improvement Support preparation for DDA, CARF, Medicaid, and other regulatory reviews Maintain audit logs, compliance reports, and tracking systems Collaborate with leadership to promote continuous quality improvement Requirements Experience in quality assurance, compliance, healthcare, or human services Strong organizational and analytical skills Excellent documentation review and attention-to-detail abilities Ability to interpret policies, regulations, and compliance standards Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems Ability to pass required background checks Preferred Qualifications Experience working with DDA services, developmental disabilities, or healthcare programs Knowledge of Maryland DDA regulations and COMAR requirements Experience with incident management, audits, and quality improvement processes Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, human services, or related field preferred Key Traits Detail-oriented Organized Professional Analytical Dependable Ethical Strong communication and problem-solving skills Benefits Competitive compensation Professional development and training opportunities Supportive team environment Opportunities for advancement and leadership growth Meaningful work that positively impacts the lives of individuals and families served by Caring Hands Inc.
