POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Quality Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products and services meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for maintaining quality control processes, conducting inspections, and collaborating with other departments to drive continuous improvement. This position reports directly to Miltec's Vice President of Technology.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Maintain quality control standards and procedures. Conduct regular inspections and audits of in-process materials to ensure compliance with quality standards. Perform required tests and inspections on raw materials, incoming components, manufactured assemblies, and authorize / approve product quality releases to inventory or to fulfill customer orders. Ability to record and document inspection data, maintain testing records and review / issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs). Read, understand, and utilize technical drawings for inspection activities. Must understand and implement Miltec's inspection plans to inspect products, interpret data trends, and make inspection plan revisions while following Miltec's document control practices. Analyze quality data and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and other departments to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Participate in the development and review of product specifications and documentation. Create and maintain accurate documentation of all aspects of Quality Control including procedures, work instructions and forms. Conduct root cause analysis on returned product and institute corrective and preventative action. Support internal/external audits. Manage Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) by identifying, documenting and resolving non-conforming materials, ensuring compliance with Quality standards and driving continuous improvement in production processes. Facilitate the administration of the Engineering Change Order (ECO) to support the company's quality initiatives. Manage employee training records to meet documentation requirements related to the company's quality standards. Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) to address non-conformances and improve quality processes. Provide support in the production / manufacturing department to troubleshoot and resolve quality problems. Provide employee training on Quality systems, procedures, processes and best practices. Stay current with industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance. Administer Miltec's document control system including revision control and system access rights. Assist with technical writing of procedures, work instructions, forms and other Quality system documents. Ability to use and properly maintain calibrated monitoring and measuring equipment for inspection purposes. Serve as the calibration technician, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all necessary calibrations. Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 3 - 5
years' experience working in QC / QA in a manufacturing environment, at minimum. Bachelor's degree is required but equivalent experience in a Quality role will also be considered. Hands-on inspection skills and broad knowledge of electro-mechanical inspection methods. Experience with document control / product data management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to listen to others. Ability to foster and maintain professional/productive relationships within an organization - Collaborative mindset. Detail oriented with strong data analytical skills. Proactive problem solver with a collaborative mindset. Experience with Inventory Management Systems. Familiarity with Quality Management System software and implementation. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Adaptable to shifting priorities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 30 lbs. Excellent manual dexterity (hands and fingers) Good eyesight with color differentiation, with or without vision correction Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

WORK HOURS
Miltec business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. We offer three optional flexible work schedules: Plan A - Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 1 hour lunch (40 hours) Plan B - Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 1 hour lunch OR 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 30-minute lunch (40 hours) - Friday off Plan C - Tuesday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 1 hour lunch OR 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 30-minute lunch (40 hours) - Monday off
