This role is for a Tester supporting nutrition assistance services and uses info systems to manage participant data, benefits, and program operations. The position focuses on planning, creating, and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), interface testing with EBT systems, and regression testing for software releases, updates, and hotfixes. The Tester works closely with WIC leadership, technical teams, software vendors, and user groups to verify system functionality, identify defects, document results, and ensure new releases do not negatively impact existing processes. A bachelor's degree in nutrition is required, along with knowledge of the WIC program and USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) regulations. The role also includes coordinating testing activities, maintaining testing standards and documentation, developing test plans and scripts, supporting help desk operations as a subject matter expert, updating user guides, and communicating system changes to end users. The ideal candidate is self-directed, organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with stakeholders across multiple teams. Experience with WIC-related MIS platforms such as SPIRIT, Crossroads, Mountain Plains, or MOSAIC, familiarity with Azure DevOps and issue tracking systems, and strong written and verbal communication skills are highly desired. The position requires managing testing schedules, reporting pass/fail results, supporting regulatory system updates, and helping ensure the overall quality and reliability of WIC technology solutions.
