Job Summary Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Fiberglass Layup Technician and become a vital contributor to the production of high-quality composite boats. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, laying up, and finishing fiberglass materials to create durable parts of the Holland boats. Your expertise in handling industrial equipment, understanding manufacturing processes, and maintaining safety protocols will ensure efficient operations and top-tier product quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with our long time established crew, and learn how Holland boats are made right from the start. Duties Prepare fiberglass materials by cutting, measuring, and organizing raw supplies according to project specifications. Perform fiberglass layup by applying resin and fabric layers accurately onto molds or frameworks following detailed work instructions. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish standards. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to materials handling, fabrication processes, or equipment malfunctions using engineering troubleshooting techniques. Maintain safety protocols by adhering to all safety guidelines, properly using personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring safe operation of industrial equipment. Assist with warehouse activities including materials handling, inventory management, and ensuring proper storage of raw materials and finished products. Qualifications Experience in fiberglass cutting, fitting, and lay up of material. Have a general understanding of wet out and sprayer systems. Experience with safety protocols related to industrial equipment operation and materials handling in a manufacturing environment. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to fabrication dimensions, and process adjustments. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot engineering or industrial equipment issues effectively. Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow detailed work instructions accurately. Join us as a Fiberglass Layup Technician and be part of our team!
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
