Nikel Precision Group is hiring a CMM Operator to inspect high-precision CNC-machined components for aerospace and defense customers. You'll run ZEISS Calypso CMM programs on first article, in-process, and final parts and keep our CMMs calibrated and running. We'll train you on Calypso troubleshooting, machine recovery, and calibration. What You'll Do Set up and run CMM inspections using established Calypso programs and setup instructions. Fixture and align parts and verify each setup before running. Review CMM reports against drawing and GD&T requirements and flag out-of-tolerance results. Qualify probes, perform routine calibration checks, and recover the machine after errors. Troubleshoot basic CMM issues and escalate program or equipment problems. Keep accurate, traceable inspection records. Cross-train in other inspection areas to keep the department covered. What You'll Need Blueprint reading and a working knowledge of GD&T. Strong shop math and analytical skills. Clear written documentation and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop. High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience. Nice to Have CMM experience in a precision machining environment, ideally ZEISS Calypso (programming a plus). Experience with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision instruments. Aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing experience;
