Job Description

Overview A Quality Inspector's function is to verify that in-process and completed materials are in compliance with all requirements as defined by Midstate Machine and/or customer specifications. Organizational Relationship The Quality Inspector serves as part of the Quality department staff and reports directly to the Quality Manager and/or the Quality Supervisor receiving advice, counsel, and direction in the inspection function. Responsibilities Ensures that product is manufactured and supplied to MSM and customer specifications. Ensures that all documentation/materials are in accordance with customer requirements prior to the release for subsequent processing by vendors and/or shipment to the customer. Responsible for inspecting characteristics involved in specific operations, using different gages when possible and practical. Inspections will be extended to the point where it can be determined that present operations has/will not affect prior or subsequent operation. Aids in maintaining traceability and establishes a filing system. Responsible to initial and date operations and/or dimensions inspected. Notifies production supervisors/lead men of deviations found in their operations. Responsible for tagging/segregating non-conforming material. Provides inspection forms when required, in a timely manner. Inspects and documents results on appropriate forms. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Maintains a professional and personable relationship with customers, vendors, and other MSM staff. Performs other duties as requested by the Quality Manager/Supervisor.

Up to $26.00 per hour
