Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Quality Technician with expertise in programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet high-quality standards through precise measurement and inspection using advanced CMM equipment. This position requires proficiency in CMM programming, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.Key Responsibilities:
CMM Programming- Develop and implement CMM programs to inspect components, fixtures, and assemblies based on engineering drawings and specifications utilizing Calypso and PCDMIS. Optimize existing CMM programs for efficiency and accuracy. Troubleshoot and debug programs to ensure reliable measurement results. Measurement and Inspection
- Perform dimensional inspections using CMM and other inspection equipment to verify part conformance. Analyze measurement data and create detailed inspection reports. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Quality Assurance
- Conduct routine audits of manufacturing processes to maintain quality standards. Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to quality deviations. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results, CMM programs, and calibration records.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Quality Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), preferably with Calypso & PC-DMIS. Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Experience with ISO standards or other quality management systems is desirable. Certification in CMM programming or related fields is a plus.Job Type:
