Job Description

Quality Engineering Technician L.E. Jones Company L.L.C., leading manufacturer of precision valve seat inserts, is seeking candidates for a Quality Engineering Technician. This is a full-time salaried non-exempt position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for developing and managing Control Plans, FMEA's and PPAP to meet customer requirements. Also responsible for accessing customer prints and maintaining customer specifications.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Quality tools background, including but not limited to: APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, SPC, and ISO 9001 and IATF16949, (on-the-job training or technical school), take accurate measurements, ability to work with basic trigonometric functions, read and translate blueprints into LEJ drawings and procedures, understanding of SPC, and competent computer skills. This individual must have good written and verbal communication skills in order to write procedures and assist in training of operators. Ability to organize, problem solve, and work well with others in a positive and collaborative manner.
TYPICAL DUTIES
Develop and manage Control Plans, FMEA's and PPAP's to meet customer requirements. Responsible for reviewing and signing off order process information (OPI) sheets and feasibility reviews. Work with operators on all shifts to train, inform, and investigate problems with product and processes. Review Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and update documentation as needed. Work with the Quality Dept. to develop new Procedures/Documents as needed. Provide support for SPC data collecting hardware and training thereof. Responsible for maintaining manufacturing statistical data collection and generate reports for the customers as needed. Performs any duties assigned to support and maintain quality and related standards. Performs duties assigned by Quality Manager and/or Quality Engineering. Conduct Internal Audits. Assist in making quality disposition of parts and troubleshooting when required. Maintain Customer Standards database. Perform additional job duties as assigned.
