Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support manufacturing quality processes and ensure products meet customer and company standards. This role works closely with production teams to perform inspections, maintain quality documentation, assist with audits, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in both an office and manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Assist manufacturing personnel with quality-related processes and inspection procedures. Train employees on the proper use of inspection, measurement, and testing equipment. Generate and maintain quality documentation, including quality alerts, work instructions, and rework procedures. Update and maintain quality records and spreadsheets. Verify production processes are being followed according to established quality procedures. Support customer and internal quality concerns by participating in investigations and corrective actions. Assist with containment, sorting, and rework activities as needed. Perform routine calibration checks on gauges, measuring devices, and testing equipment. Maintain calibration records and coordinate internal or external calibration services. Review and monitor incoming materials and production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. Interpret control plans, inspection instructions, and quality specifications. Support product launches, validation activities, and continuous improvement projects. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Participate in problem-solving activities and root cause investigations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. At least 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred. Understanding of quality systems, inspections, and auditing processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Ability to explain technical information to non-technical personnel. Experience with problem-solving methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives. Plastics and/or automotive manufacturing experience preferred. Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong documentation and recordkeeping abilities. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Work Environment Industrial manufacturing environment. Combination of office and production floor work. Light to moderate noise exposure. Occasional travel may be required to customer or supplier locations for quality-related activities. Physical Requirements Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, calculator, telephone, and measuring instruments. Ability to move throughout the production facility and perform inspections as needed. $21.50 - $26.50 per hour
