Full Job Description Description:
Position Overview Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician III is responsible for leading the improvement of product quality through continuous improvement projects, inspection of goods, rework, and refurbishment of products sold by Johnson Health Tech. Duties include working directly with operations and factory teams to improve quality, supporting the documentation and tracking of defects, and coordinating rework efforts to fix issues as soon as possible in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position will report to an offsite Quality Manager but will have onsite supervision at the distribution center. Responsibilities Inspection Lead First Piece inspection of new SKU's Lead Targeted Inspection of inventory based on issues found Lead Inbound, assembly, and outbound quality Identify trends and improve inspection processes Rework Lead Rework of finished goods Coordinate and train temp labor to assist in rework Identify trends and improve rework processes Refurbishment Coordinate refurbishment efforts as needed Create refurbishment SOP's Training Face to face interaction with operations teams on a consistent basis Research proper procedures and provide instructions Report defects and train teams on entering defects into tracking system Lead continuous improvement projects
Requirements:
Education:
High school degree or equivalent required Completed a relevant 1-2 year degree OR be in the process of completing the degree ASQ Certified Quality Technician required OR equivalent work experience/training with the ability to obtain ASQ Certified Quality Technician status within 6 months
Experience:
Minimum 4 Years experience in Quality role Assembly experience preferred Past experience in an inspection or repair service role preferred
Other Requirements:
Proficiency in Office 365 products Proficiency in SAP Forklift certification Adept at using hand and power tools Proficient with measuring instruments.

VOM calipers, tension gauges, etc. Valid drivers license and passport is required to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time Proficient reading comprehension Good written and oral communication Understanding of modern technology: USB sticks, software updates,
UI's, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may lift be required to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull products weighing 300+lbs with the use of hand-jack pallet movers, forklifts, furniture sliders, etc. Much of the time the employee will be involved in activities that require sitting, standing, squatting and walking in a distribution warehouse. This position will require the ability to stand for long periods of time. The employee will need to grasp small objects and have visual acuity for operating the mechanical tools of the trade.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly use tools such as multi-meters, calipers, and measurement blocks which expose them to electrical currents. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee should not be subjected to situations which negatively affect their health with respect to air quality or noise levels, etc.
