Job Description

SUMMARY:
Handles the receiving of items and ensures that our shipments are inspected, sorted, and stored/stocked as needed. The Receiving Inspector acts as a safeguard to confirm that high quality products meet and/or exceed customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Inspect independently, with a high level of integrity, both receiving and incoming materials; including but not limited to certification review, material verifications, visual inspection for compliance, and damage from outside suppliers Verifies that all work records from vendors are complete and correct, checking against established quality and inspection standards, and that current revisions have been followed Utilize various inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and measuring devices, to assess dimensions and visual attributes Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information Work from shop routers, operation sheets, blueprints, and other specifications to ensure that all purchased components or materials are in full compliance Ensure that standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete Follow inventory procedures for stock movements, move product within the receiving warehouse, and work with inventory control on strategies and/or issues Collaborate with the Purchasing, Production, and/or Shop Floor management personnel on quality issues and corrective actions Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High school diploma and 1-2 Years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting, or adequate combination of education and experience Ability to read and understand quality documents such as blueprints, specifications, and certificates of conformance Knowledge of basic inspection processes and tools (calipers, thread gauges, height gauges, etc.) Experience using an ERP system or similar shipping management software as well as MS Office Forklift certified, or ability to certify upon hire Basic math skills Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Hours:
Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm

Up to $24.00 per hour
