Job Description

Quality Assurance Inspector
  • Die Cast/Machining 1st shift 1st shift Monday
  • Thursday 5am
  • 3:30pm Job Summary The QA Inspector is responsible for inspecting products and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
This role involves performing visual and functional inspections, documenting findings, identifying defects, and collaborating with production teams to maintain high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities Inspect in-process production, and finished products for quality and compliance Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using measuring tools and testing equipment Identify defects, deviations, and non-conforming products Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations Report quality issues to supervisors and recommend corrective actions Monitor production processes to ensure consistent quality Support audits and quality management system activities Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred Experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or quality assurance Knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection techniques Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical documents Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Basic computer and documentation skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Functional Requirements Consistently able to: Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch and bend. Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering for truck. Walk, sit or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks. Push / pull 100lbs. See, inspect, and evaluate product quality Read and understand written work instructions in English Work in a non-climate controlled environment, including hot and humid conditions. Walk up and down steps Climb ladders and stairs of varying height Wear task-based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Protective Footwear; Hearing Protection Protective Eyewear Gloves Additional PPE may as required by specific tasks
