QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

At Good Sense Foods, people come first—our team has voted us a Best Place to Work seven years in a row. Due to continued growth, Good Sense Foods is expanding our team and launching a new 2nd shift.

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Quality Control Technician to support our food manufacturing operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring product quality, food safety compliance, and adherence to company standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced production environment. What You'll Do Perform work‑in‑process verifications, including mixing checks, formulation compliance, and product quality testing (moisture, salt, FFA). Conduct production line audits and identify quality issues in processing and packaging. Conduct inspections for clean equipment. Review and verify post‑production documentation. Place product on quality hold when necessary and follow proper procedures. Collect and prepare samples for microbiological analysis. Record and manage non‑conforming products per established procedures. Train employees on GMPs, metal detection, food safety, and quality standards. Verify quality of incoming materials as needed. Maintain accurate and timely documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues. Adapt effectively to changes, delays, or unexpected events. Work independently while communicating clearly with the appropriate personnel. Support R D and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Associate degree in a science-related field. Ability to read and write in English. At least 1 year of direct, hands-on QC/QA experience within the food and/or beverage manufacturing industry. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills. Good computer skills and proficiency with basic applications. Good math aptitude. Demonstrated sense of teamwork, urgency, and responsibility. Preferred BS in a science-related field. Bilingual Physical Requirements Ability to stand 8 to 10 hours during shift. Ability to
