This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working independently, and building trusted relationships with customers. You'll help customers optimize the performance of critical equipment used in industries such as aerospace, medical device manufacturing, automotive, and precision measuring. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, prolonged learning, and the consistent use of discretion and independent judgment. While calibration outputs may follow defined standards, the approach to achieving those results often varies. The Service Technician must independently assess each situation, determine the appropriate course of action, implement solutions, and communicate outcomes clearly to customers and internal teams. This is a field-based role offering a long-term career path within a technically advanced discipline, with exposure to a wide range of equipment, applications, and industries. What you'll do As a Service Technician, you will provide calibration, analysis, and troubleshooting for precision measurement (OGP) systems at customer facilities. You will be trusted to independently evaluate equipment performance, determine appropriate corrective actions, and deliver solutions that improve measurement accuracy and reliability. Perform precision calibration of measurement and manufacturing systems, including linear axes, rotary systems, and multi-axis configurations at customer facilities. Operate special equipment to execute calibration procedures and validate system performance Analyze system performance data and independently determine corrective actions to improve accuracy and repeatability. Apply, adjust, and modify compensation parameters within machine and measurement system controls to optimize performance. Troubleshoot complex technical issues that may not have predefined solutions, utilizing advanced technical knowledge, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills. Assess varying customer environments and determine the most effective approach to achieving calibration and performance objectives. Clearly communicate findings, adjustments, recommendations, and technical concepts to customers in a manner that builds confidence and trust. Document work performed, including non-standard solutions and corrective actions, to support future service activities and continuous improvement efforts. Recommend updates to service procedures and best practices based on field experience to improve efficiency, consistency, and technical effectiveness. Collaborate with engineering and service teams to share technical knowledge and resolve complex challenges. Ensure customer expectations are met through timely, professional, and cost-effective service delivery. What we're looking for Associate's degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Metrology, Manufacturing, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience 2-5+ years of experience in a technical, field service, calibration, manufacturing, or metrology-related role. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical systems and solve problems independently.
