Job Description

Quality Auditor - 1st shift Come join our team!! Northern Metal Products is a manufacturer of custom solutions for both the Retail and OEM industries. Founded in 1959, NMP is a private, financially sound, and growing company with diverse capabilities fabricating wire, sheet metal, tubing, and wood.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily quality inspections on incoming material, set-up verifications, work in process and finished goods per procedural requirements including proper documentation. Perform administrative duties in compliance with documented procedures for control of non-conforming material; including identification, segregation and proper rework instructions. Perform First Article Inspections upon request and complete per procedural requirements using a numbered drawing and clear sample identification. Participate in investigation of NCR defects and corrective actions when requested or required. Maintain open communication with production operators and train and educate on quality defects when requested and where appropriate on the job.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in metal fabrication/welding environment a plus.
JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ABILITIES
Ability to read, comprehend and follow blue print specifications, tolerances and complicated instructions. Proficient with basic math skills. Ability to accurately read and measure with standard measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, height, and radius gages. Demonstrated knowledge of business operating processes, standard quality practices and inspection procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
