Industrial Control Panel Tester

Motor Control Specialties (MCS) is a UL 508A Electrical Control Panel Manufacturing Facility, specializing in variable frequency drive packages. We are looking to add a qualified individual to our Quality department, performing functional tests and final quality inspections on completed control panels. Our pay scale and benefits package are top in the industry! Please, do not apply if you have no relevant experience or education in the field.

Position Summary :

This position is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and verifying custom industrial control panels before shipment to customers. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, has strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and enjoys solving technical problems.

Responsibilities:

Perform electrical and functional testing of industrial control panels. Verify wiring against electrical schematics and customer specifications. Troubleshoot and correct wiring, component, and programming issues. Test VFD, HMI, and control system functionality. Document test results and quality checks. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues. Ensure panels meet company quality standards and applicable codes. Assist production team in panel assembly during downtime.

Qualifications:

Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Understanding of industrial control systems and electrical components. Ability to use multimeters and electrical test equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Electronics, or related field preferred but not required. Previous control panel, industrial maintenance, or electrical experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Basic computer skills 2+ years experience working with live electricity 2 year Associate's Degree or equivalent Technical education
