Job Description

Holland Engineers is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Geotechnical/Construction Materials Testing Technician . This position works closely with the Construction Group Manager and fellow technicians to perform laboratory and field testing of soil, rock, and construction materials. We are willing to train candidates who demonstrate a strong personality fit, a solid work ethic, and the potential to grow within our engineering firm. Additionally, we have opportunities for mid-level and senior-level field representatives . RESPONSIBILITIES
Construction/geotechnical testing technician duties will include the following: Perform laboratory testing under the direction of the Laboratory Manager and engineers. Perform concrete field testing and sampling. Conduct field density testing on soil and rock. Prepare logs of field data. Interact and communicate with field representatives, project managers, and office staff. Observe and document construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications. SKILLS Basic knowledge of construction and earth related materials. Strong handwriting and data collection/documentation skills. Ability to analyze data and identify trends or anomalies. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-compliance. Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States and pass a background check. Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to job sites. Capable of lifting, carrying, and loading test equipment, soil samples, concrete samples (minimum of 50 pounds). Available for occasional work on Saturdays.

Pay:
From $19.00 per hour
