Ready to join a U.S. Best Managed Company? Kent Precision Foods Group, a member of the Kent Corporation family of companies, has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Lead Quality Control Technician. This critical role will be responsible for conducting product analysis and inspection as assigned. The technician must follow Work Instructions for the assigned processes insuring that products and packaging comply with set quality standards. The technician must be able to work in plant environment at ambient temperatures. Must be able to communicate with the manufacturing team and take action when the assigned process is out of Quality limits. The Lead Quality Control Technician is in charge of communicating with the other Quality Control Technicians when there are issues, questions, new processes, changes, etc. This is a 2nd shift lead position and this position will also handle all of the Lab Technician responsibilities.
Primary Duties:
Perform product and packaging analysis as designated for the assigned process. Document testing and package verifications on an electronic table. Must have good people skills working as a team. Perform duties as assigned. Must be able to communicate and take action when a process is out of its control limits. Perform monthly warehouse audits. Complete Quality Incident reports as require Operate and perform tasks in the safety chain system Verify and validate HACCP plan as required. Complete required documentation and reports in a timely process. Maintain a good attendance record. Adhere to all safety practices as set forth by OSHA. Adhere to the HACCP Food Defense Plan Adhere to all Good Manufacture Practice as set in the
KPFG GMP
Plan. Provide leadership for all quality personnel on 2nd shift. Communicate with all Quality Control Technicians throughout the shift to keep things going and ensure that all production is within QC Specifications. Conducts all analytical testing in the lab as required, maintains documentation in AX, Labsoft and Safety Chain. Diagnoses and corrects problems in AX, Labsoft and Safety Chain. Qualifications and Skills Minimum of an Associate degree, Bachelors degree preferred. Must be computer literate, able to operate a compute tablet. Time management skills and the ability to monitor others. Prefer Manufacturing experience with quality experience. Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold
