Minot Builders Supply is a wholesale building supply distributor with branches in Minot, ND, Bismarck, ND, Great Falls, MT and Billings MT. We are currently looking to fill a Paint Booth position in our Great Falls, Mt location. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paint Booth Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating paint booths and ensuring high-quality finishing of products through precise application of coatings. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining safety standards, adhering to production schedules, and delivering exceptional craftsmanship. Duties Operate spray guns, including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying techniques, to apply coatings accurately on various surfaces. Prepare surfaces for painting by performing construction painting surface preparation and fabrication tasks. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools to assist in assembly, materials handling, and finishing processes. Interpret production documents and follow detailed instructions to ensure coatings meet quality standards in manufacturing. Handle materials safely using forklifts and cranes, adhering strictly to safety protocols and PPE requirements such as respirators and respiratory protection gear. Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished products for coating consistency, quality standards in production, and surface imperfections. Maintain a clean work environment by following safety procedures, including PPE use and proper disposal of materials. Experience Previous experience operating paint booths or working within industrial painting or auto body repair environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of coating applications, including powder coating and industrial painting techniques. Familiarity with coating spray guns, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining processes. Ability to interpret manufacturing documents and perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material quantities. Experience with warehouse operations or materials handling equipment such as forklifts or cranes is advantageous. Understanding of safety protocols related to respiratory protection, PPE use, and chemical handling in a manufacturing setting. Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality standards in production environments will be considered a plus. Experience is preferred but not required, compensation DOE, will train for this position. Full-time position.
Pay:
$17.00 - $23.00 per hour
