Job Description:
Leads and facilitates multidisciplinary teams and committees. Reports quality updates to physician hospital leaders. Utilizes structured performance improvement tools to identify performance improvement needs. Prioritizes improvement efforts and coordinates with hospital leaders to implement necessary changes. Collaborates with partners across the organization to align efforts with strategic priorities. Facilitates improvement efforts and maintains accountability for oversight of those efforts. Collects, aggregates, analyzes, summarizes, and reports quality data for hospital organizational performance and physician performance. Develops data reports for projects, committees, hospital departments, and medical staff departments. Participates in hospital-wide outcomes and quality improvement initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Coordinates data collection, monitoring, and sharing for assigned quality programs. Serves as a resource for physicians related to quality improvement activities, including physician peer review and professional practice evaluation. Collaborates with physician leadership to improve processes and outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EMR applications, primarily EPIC. [Required]
  • Able to communicate effectively in English. [Required]
  • Manual dexterity to operate keyboard. [Required]
  • High degree of concentration to read and interpret medical records effectively, and abstract and enter data accurately. [Required]
  • Abilities for excellent time management as well as shifting responsibilities [Required]
  • Knowledge of federal and state quality measures [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of quality requirements for providers [Preferred]
Education:
  • Bachelor's [Required]
  • Master's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
  • in nursing, respiratory therapy, laboratory science, or another healthcare-related profession
Work Experience:
  • 1+ experience in data abstraction and analysis [Preferred]
  • 3+ of recent experience in an acute care setting [Required]
  • Experience in project management [Preferred]
  • Experience working closely with physicians and other licensed independent providers [Required]
Additional Information:
