This role is responsible for performing inspections and laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications, company quality standards, and manufacturing requirements. The QC Technician will work closely with Production, Process Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing teams to identify quality concerns, maintain accurate laboratory records, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is required to effectively communicate with global leadership, technical teams, suppliers, and equipment manufacturers. Essential Responsibilities Perform quality inspections and laboratory testing on incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established procedures and specifications. Conduct physical, dimensional, mechanical, and chemical testing using laboratory instruments and inspection equipment. Record, review, and maintain accurate inspection and laboratory data in accordance with company procedures. Identify nonconforming materials and immediately communicate quality concerns to the appropriate departments. Assist with investigations of product defects and support root cause analysis activities. Support incoming material inspections and supplier quality verification. Perform sampling, testing, and documentation according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Operate, maintain, and verify calibration status of laboratory equipment and precision measuring instruments. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment while following all laboratory safety procedures. Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, and Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing performance. Assist with product trials, process validations, and new product qualification activities. Prepare inspection reports, quality records, certificates of analysis, and other required documentation. Support internal audits, customer audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Associate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Materials Science, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent laboratory or manufacturing experience may be considered. Bilingual in English and Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing). One or more years of experience in Quality Control, laboratory testing, manufacturing quality, or a related technical environment. Experience following standard operating procedures and quality documentation requirements. Ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges, balances, and other laboratory equipment. Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Preferred Experience in battery manufacturing, lithium-ion materials, plastics, film manufacturing, chemical processing, semiconductor, or other advanced manufacturing industries. Knowledge of laboratory testing methods, quality inspection techniques, and statistical sampling. Experience working within an
ISO 9001
quality management system. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and basic quality analysis tools. Experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or other electronic quality management systems. Forklift certification is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to work in both laboratory and manufacturing environments. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently handle laboratory samples and testing equipment. Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and other required laboratory attire.
