Responsible for setting up and operating machines and equipment safely, accurately, and timely in the assigned department.

Key Responsibilitiesâ¢Ensure that production standards are met by efficiently running the machines and equipmentâ¢Set up, operate, maintain equipment and tear down as instructedâ¢Run product at line speed as scheduled by Production Supervisorâ¢Maintain ongoing communication with Production Supervision, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance as it relates to equipment performance and down timeâ¢Follow safety procedures and checklist for startup, emergency stop, and restart of the lines after down timeâ¢Follows all work safety policies and guidelines, such as Lock Out â Tag Outâ¢Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and /or safety issues/concernsâ¢Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelinesâ¢Maintains a clean and organized areaâ¢Cross train on other equipment/areas as neededâ¢Maintain equipment records through paper logs or on assigned electronic device accurately and timelyâ¢Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications (Education & Experience)Â

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalentÂ
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United StatesÂ
- Must pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physicalÂ
- Must be able to use basic math and typing skillsÂ
- Ability to pass Lock Out â Tag Out trainingEssential Knowledge, Skills & Abilitiesâ¢Ability to learn and to perform work on all equipment within assigned departmentâ¢Able to work in a fast-paced environmentâ¢Works independently and self-motivated in performing job tasksâ¢Communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructionsPreferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilitiesâ¢Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environmentâ¢Knowledge of machines and equipmentWorking Conditionsâ¢Work is performed in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities.
