Position Summary The QA Technician ensures that all products meet food safety and quality standards at the lowest cost in a timely manner. This role serves as an internal "customer advocate" by providing Production with technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle. Tiers reflect progression from foundational testing to advanced root-cause investigation and technical mentorship. Section 1:

Core Responsibilities Safety & GMPs:

Execute all duties in a manner that supports plant safety, food safety, and quality. Strictly adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).

Audit & Testing:

Coordinate and perform analyses on finished products, ingredients, and processes. Record and report findings in areas of Pest Prevention, Sanitation, Pre-Op, HACCP, and Sensory.

Environmental Monitoring:

Collect, prepare, and ship environmental swabs for testing; investigate leaks and manage vector swabbing maps.

Support:

Provide technical support to Production; identify non-compliance and advise on internal requirements.

Operational Integrity:

Maintain a clean and safe working area; manage laboratory supply inventory. Section 3:

Skills & Qualifications Education:

High School Diploma or GED required (Science-based Associate degree preferred).

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

Interpersonal:

Strong communication skills, including the ability to probe for root cause and provide feedback to Production.

Availability:

Weekend support is requested on a voluntary basis during periods of high production demand.

Pay:

$22.75 - $24.75 per hour
