The opportunity Join Hitachi Energy as a Quality Technician and play a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality transformer products that power industries and communities worldwide. In this dynamic role, you will help ensure every product meets rigorous internal, customer, and industry standards through precise inspection and testing processes. You'll work at the heart of manufacturing, partnering with cross-functional teams to monitor quality at every stage—from incoming materials to final product validation. Shift:
Weekends shift could be days or nights 1st shift: 5:00 AM- 3:0pm 2nd shift 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM How you'll make an impact Inspect incoming materials, components, and equipment to ensure quality standards are met Perform routine and non-routine inspections on sub-assemblies and finished products Conduct electrical, mechanical, and visual testing activities Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances as needed Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for product issues Follow HSE protocols to ensure safe testing and inspection practices Collaborate with teams to improve processes and reduce defects Your background Experience in quality control or quality assurance within manufacturing Working knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards Proficiency in inspection, testing, and measurement techniques Strong analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis Effective communication skills for documentation and collaboration Availability for weekend and 2nd or 3rd shift work; U.S. citizenship required More about us Be part of a global leader advancing sustainable energy solutions Access opportunities for continuous learning, growth, and career development Collaborate in an inclusive environment focused on innovation and operational excellence Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
