About Us Swift Universal Optical Systems designs and manufactures precision components and integrated systems for both defense and commercial customers. We are a manufacturing-focused organization with in-house engineering, production, assembly, and testing capabilities. We take pride in doing the job right the first time and continually raising the bar for ourselves and our customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Partner with operations and engineering to investigate root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions for shop floor problems and customer complaints 2. Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation for job releases, 1st articles, PPAP, and routine receiving-inspection activities 3. Performs 1st piece inspection on purchased and/or manufactured components. 4. Develop inspection plans for receiving inspection activities. 5. Maintains records, certifications and documentation for 1st article, PPAP, and receiving inspection 6. Participates in the Material Review Board process as needed
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma required (2 year technical associates or bachelor preferred) 2. 2-4 years quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (prefer machining and assembly background). 3. Experience with use of multiple measuring devices (ie: micrometers, caliper, height gages, indicators, hardness testers, optical comparators, etc.) 4. Experience using CMM (coordinate measuring machine) preferred 5. Experience with CALYPSO and/or PC-DMIS software preferred 6. Good problem solving and root-cause analysis skills preferred 7. Proficient with print reading and knowledgeable of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T) symbols and terminology 8. Exposure to an environment with an active Quality Management System (ie: ISO9001, AS9100, IATF16949, etc.) 9. Good written and oral communication skills 10. Good basic math skills 11. Good organizational skills 12. Good computer skills (must be comfortable with MS Word, Excel, Power Point and be willing to learn new systems) 13.
