Overview Join our dynamic team as a Certified Automotive State Inspector and play a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and compliance on the road. As a key player in vehicle safety, you will perform detailed assessments, identify repair needs, and ensure vehicles meet all regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to verify compliance with state safety standards and emissions regulations Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment to assess vehicle components such as brakes, lights, tires, steering, and suspension systems Identify mechanical issues or auto body damage requiring repair or further evaluation Document inspection results accurately and prepare detailed reports for regulatory agencies Collaborate with auto repair technicians or service centers to communicate necessary repairs or adjustments Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration for precise assessments Assist vehicle owners by explaining inspection findings clearly and recommending appropriate maintenance or repairs Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems and repairs Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, auto body repair, and auto restoration processes Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment Physical ability for heavy lifting and performing inspections in various environments Prior experience in automotive inspection or certification preferred but not required; relevant training provided for qualified candidates Strong attention to detail with excellent observational skills to identify issues accurately Ability to work independently while adhering to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise keeps vehicles safe on the road!
