Job Description

Visual Inspector:
(Entry Level) The position of Inspector within the Quality Department at RDS Machine, is responsible for a variety of functions within the Quality Assurance Department, with the primary function of process and product verification / validation, while supporting the company's Quality Management System, Quality Policies and Quality Objectives.
Minimum Preferred Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED / Trade School with Machines Trades Training Some experience in the use of precision measuring tools Some knowledge of Engineering Drawings (Blueprint Reading) Some knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Working knowledge of computer, as appropriate to input and retrieve data and/or documents tied to product conformity Some knowledge of inspecting parts with visual tools such as comparators, micro-scope, visual aids, etc. Some knowledge of inspecting parts with tools such as comparators, height gages, dial bore gages, profilometers, and ability to set gaging devices for the manufacturing floor plus. Some knowledge of Calibration Speak, read and write fluent English Key responsibilities: Positive team player Visual inspection of components, in process, 1st piece, pre-plate, post plate, final, etc. Basic layout inspection of production parts utilizing indicators, micrometers, verniers, height gage, CMM, etc. helpful Pre-plate, Post-plate, and Final Visual Inspection of production parts prior to coating and after coating to verify parts meet pre-coating and post-coating part print requirements In process Inspection Audits to assist in the monitoring of processes in manufacturing Continuously looking to make process improvements Tasks as assigned on projects that will support customer satisfaction
