And whoever we're with, whatever we're doing, we always make it real. Primary Responsibilities of Quality Lead include: Provide quality leadership on the shift. Perform environmental testing per environmental monitoring program. Perform process audits to monitor compliance to SQF requirements and other government guidelines. Perform sampling of raw material, work in process and finished product as required and needed. Perform analytical lab testing on product for pH, Moisture, Color L.A.B, Fineness and Sensory Prepare samples for outside lab testing. Perform internal audits for quality and food safety programs. Develop, implement and maintain high standards in good laboratory practices. Document procedures to ensure consistency in the use and operation of test equipment. Define requirements and train personnel on lab and quality and food safety best practices as needed. Data entry of all lab results. Support and maintain the hold program. Assist in customer complaint investigation. Be a member of the Food Safety Team, Food Defense Team, Internal Audit Team. Support all aspect of external and 3rd party audits. Deliver on quality objectives as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned outside of job scope if needed. Experience Required Degree/Diploma in Science or Food Safety preferred or 3-5 years of quality & food safety experience in a food manufacturing environment. Ability to analyze issues and provide logical resolutions. Strong communication and writing skills. Experience working with 3rd party audits, preferably SQF. Strong organizational skills. Ability to multi-task. Experienced with environmental monitoring. Prior experience working in a production laboratory. Familiarity with non-conformance investigations, product hold management. Be self-driven and have the ability to work dependently and independently. Ability to stand, sit for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50lbs and bend This position may require overtime and extended work hours beyond the standard forty-hour workweek. The pay for this role in the state of NJ is $20.65/hr and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location
