Quality Control Inspector

Our client, a precision manufacturing company, is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join their team in Clifton, NJ. This role focuses on performing detailed inspections using advanced measurement equipment to ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform complex inspections using advanced tools such as optical comparators, vision systems, and programmable CMMs Operate Zeiss CMMs (Calypso), OGP (Zone 3), and Keyence vision systems Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to verify product specifications Make accept/reject decisions on inspected products based on quality standards Perform calibration activities and maintain accurate calibration records in compliance with AS9100 standards Assist with the development of inspection plans and visual standards Accurately document inspection results in QMS or ERP systems Participate in containment actions and root cause analysis investigations Ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained Train and mentor Level 1 inspectors on inspection procedures and equipment

Requirements:

2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT), Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), or metrology-related certification preferred Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T fundamentals Experience with CMMs, OGP, and Keyence vision systems Experience with calibration management systems such as GAGETrak Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as required
