Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Clifton, New Jersey

Category Nursing - RN - Cath Lab Job Type Contract Make a difference in cardiovascular care by providing high-quality nursing support in a dynamic Cath Lab setting. Registered Nurses with recent Cath Lab experience are needed for a contract opportunity offering a choice of two flexible shift patterns and the chance to contribute to life-saving interventions.

Schedule/Hours:

Choice of four 10-hour shifts (6:30am-5:30pm) or five 8-hour shifts (6:30am-2:30pm) per week Includes 10-15 on-call shifts per month for STEMI/Stroke coverage

Qualifications:

Active RN license required Proven experience in a Cath Lab or similar cardiovascular nursing environment NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications preferred Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills Ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure or emergent situations Team-focused professional with a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate patient care

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures Monitor patients for changes in clinical status, intervening as necessary Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain and document accurate patient records and procedure details Respond promptly to STEMI and stroke call-ins, supporting critical interventions as part of the on-call team Educate patients and families regarding procedures, post-procedural care, and discharge instructions
