Job Title:
QC Technician II Job Description The QC Technician II will play a pivotal role by performing fit-for-purpose testing, adhering to operating procedures, and supporting manufacturing processes. This includes both in-line and finished product release testing using various analytical techniques. Responsibilities Perform fit-for-purpose testing in support of manufacturing, including in-line and finished product release testing using various analytical techniques. Prepare standards and samples for analysis and run instrumentation with minimal supervision. Document and report analytical testing data in the LIMS Database and in a laboratory notebook following good documentation practices. Assist in out-of-specification investigations by conducting relevant testing and documenting findings appropriately. Make recommendations to optimize instrumentation methods and provide feedback on non-instrumentation method opportunities. Apply knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Processes to support continuous improvement activities. Maintain general lab housekeeping. Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field from an accredited university. Minimum of 2 years of industry or relevant market experience, preferably in the chemistry or bio/pharmaceutical industry. Hands-on experience with wet chemistry, basic analytical instruments, and chromatography. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with Analytical test methods including
ACS, USP/NF, EP/BP, JP, FCC.
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with attention to detail. Effective problem-solving abilities using Lean methods. Engage in process improvement initiatives to identify cost savings to the business. Work Environment The position is based in a GMP lab environment, requiring adherence to quality standards. The role supports continuous operations from Sunday through Saturday, offering an opportunity to contribute to a growing company. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fair Lawn, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
