Job Description

Description Permanent position for a QA inspector for a rotating equipment manufacturing plant.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Verifying and documenting raw materials and manufactured parts meet specifications. Working with machinist to conduct first piece inspections on the shop floor and final inspection in the quality room. Inspect parts using various instruments, such as verniers, calipers, micrometers, plug / ring / go-no go gauges, CMM and hardness tester. Layout and inspection of castings and piece parts. Tracking and logging calibration of inspection instruments and gauges. Requirements At least 5 years experience in QA inspection for mechanical equipment. Basic knowledge of various manufacturing methods such as sand and investment casting (including patternmaking), forging, machining, welding, etc. Experience working with industry QA standards, such as
MIL-I-45208A, ANSI/ASQC
C1, AS9100, or
ISO 9001
a plus. Reading and properly interpreting manufacturing drawings and an understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing standards. Strong communication skills. #ERGx
