Quality Inspection Supervisor

Position Description This is a full time direct hire role located in Whippany, New Jersey, with standard company hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Quality Inspection Supervisor oversees all activities within the Inspection Department to ensure products meet stringent aerospace specifications and customer requirements. This role manages the daily supervision and coordination of inspectors, maintains an efficient product flow, and handles labor relations for union employees. Key responsibilities include developing and updating inspection procedures, maintaining calibration for all equipment, and ensuring 100% accuracy and traceability in documentation. The supervisor also supports internal audits and serves as a point of contact for customers, suppliers, and government representatives. The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 per year. Minimum of 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Proven experience working within a union environment, with the ability to manage labor relations and coordinate departmental assignments. Technical expertise in aerospace or defense quality standards, including the ability to maintain inspection documentation with high traceability and accuracy. Demonstrated ability to manage equipment calibration programs and update formal inspection procedures to meet AS9100 or similar regulatory requirements.
