Job Title:
Quality Inspector Job Description We are seeking a diligent Quality Inspector to ensure that all customer requirements are understood and met with precision. This role involves reviewing customer purchase orders, conducting audits, and interacting with various departments to ensure product conformance. The Quality Inspector will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Responsibilities Review customer purchase orders to ensure understanding of customer requirements and facility capabilities. Initiate and participate in corrective/preventive actions from audit findings, customer complaints, and product/process issues. Perform audits of internal products/processes and vendors, and assist with external quality audits. Interact with other departments and customers to ensure product conformance. Ensure product, process, and service conformance to customer and regulatory requirements. Use tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to verify coating thickness, location, and part dimensions. Verify completion and documentation of required operations on the router. Perform visual inspections for defects like cracks, chips, and scratches, ensuring good workmanship. Document inspection results and maintain quality records according to procedures. Identify product defects and ensure nonconforming parts are managed appropriately. Verify product returns from outside processing and review vendor certifications. Check product identification and ensure part numbers and quantities match customer paperwork. Review and ensure the accuracy of certificates of conformance before signing. Perform additional duties necessary to ensure product conformance. Essential Skills Experience with
ISO 9001
standards. Experience in the manufacturing industry. Quality control knowledge and experience. Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools. Ability to perform visual inspections. Experience with shipping and receiving. Strong documentation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Lean Six Sigma knowledge is advantageous. Compliance with minimum near vision requirements (Snellen 14/18 or Jaeger 2). Understanding of export control regulations (EAR and ITAR) is required. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
