Job Description

C.H. Thompson is currently seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role focuses on unmasking (removing protective materials) and performing touch-up paint work. Position Overview Unmasking:
Carefully remove masking materials (such as tape, latex and plugs) from parts after painting.
Inspection :
Inspect unmasked areas for any defects or imperfections.
Touch-Up Paint:
Apply touch-up paint to correct minor defects (scratches, chips, etc.) in painted finishes. Ensure color matching and consistency.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect parts thoroughly for adherence to quality standards. Document inspection results, including any rework or corrections needed.
Collaboration:
Coordinate and communicate with the Supervisor to address any issues found during inspection.
Safety and Compliance:
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications :
Education :
High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
Relevant experience in metal finishing, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
Quality Control Experience:
Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.

Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Communication:
Clear communication is essential for reporting findings and collaborating with production teams.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
Technical Skills:
Basic math and computer skills, ability to use specialized testing tools and machinery.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and read technical documents and blueprints.
Quality Standards:
Ensure all products and parts meet stringent quality standards.
Shift Hours:
Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 3:30pm, Friday 6:30am-12:30pm
Total Compensation Package:
Wage $17.50+ per hour Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience.
