Position Summary :

In this role, the Lead QA Technician will be responsible for assisting Quality Management in coaching and monitoring department technicians, performing critical inspections using precision measurement equipment, and ensuring proper protocols and processes are being utilized throughout the organization. This role requires a high level of skill and technical knowledge in a plastic injection manufacturing environment, specifically in Quality Assurance.

Minimum Qualifications:

(Requirements) Education & Experience Minimum of 18 years of age required Highschool diploma or GED equivalent required Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance, control, or inspection role required; Quality control/inspection experience in plastic injection or machined components preferred. Previous lead, trainer, or supervisor experience preferred Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, inspection methods, and proper documentation Fluent ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, height gauges, pin/thread gauges, etc. Strong attention to detail and the ability to think critically Experience with CMM programming Experience creating and documenting inspection procedures Quality Systems & Documentation Experience completing FAI inspections with critical components, non-conformance reports, and quality documentation Ability to collect and communicate inspection data to management and customers if necessary Familiarity with the

ISO 90001

Standard or other quality standards Experience with basic data entry using excel Communication & Leadership Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate amongst all departments Ability to work independently and prioritize properly Capable of coaching department technicians and operators on quality expectations in a respectful manner Ability to handle confidential product and information professionally Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout the production floor Ability to stand whilst performing inspection that may require standing Ability to lift up to 50lbs or less Manual dexterity for proper component handling

Pay:

$25.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
