Job Description

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
We are seeking a 1st Shift Quality Control Technician for our Hoosick Falls, NY Plant. The position is responsible for the performance of Quality Control testing and the recording of test data in compliance with the specifications set for the Hoosick Falls product base. Required testing of all manufactured products, including but not limited to: thickness, weight, tensile strengths, edge tear strength, resistivity and adhesion strengths Provide test results to production Provide visual inspection of product packaging Maintain all records pertaining to testing performed Prepare Certification of Conformance, both to Saint-Gobain and customer specifications Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and work instructions Perform data entry for all products tested Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the shift supervisor/department manager Follows prescribed safety regulations Maintain a 5S acceptable work area Support
ISO 9001
Maintain and update the Document Master list and any documents within it Ability to work varied hours/days/overtime as business dictates
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
High School diploma or equivalent. One to two years in a manufacturing environment preferred. Will substitute for equivalent work experience Ability to read and interpret product specifications, use spreadsheets (Excel) to perform simple math and create basic reports Ability to use basic handheld measuring tools Good communication skills and an appreciation for detail-oriented tasks Strong aptitude for testing procedures Computer skills required - including experience with
MS Suite:
Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Familiarity with ASTM test methods/procedures preferred While prior manufacturing experience is preferred, we will provide on-the-job training for qualified applicants.

Pay Transparency:
Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The local pay range for this position is $21 - $24 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location/geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures.
