Job Description

Quality Inspector GTI Graphic Technology, a Newburgh based manufacturer, seeks a Quality Inspector to perform inspections related to the production of lighting equipment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector who enjoys creating documentation and improving processes to complete in-process/final inspections, as well as perform inspections on incoming materials and outgoing shipments as required to ensure our products meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct incoming and in-process inspection of products as specified using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Document inspection results, identify non-conformances, and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Evaluate customer-returned goods and recommend corrective actions
  • Conduct 100% final inspection on products for shipment
  • Maintain inspection tools, and organize routine calibration of measurement equipment as assigned
  • Communicate findings from inspections and audits to the Materials Manager and production team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate new products, materials, and designs to support R&D objectives, including documenting new processes required for inspection
  • Create documentation for inspection processes as needed, and maintain current records in an organized fashion
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace, adhering to safety standards
Basic Qualifications:
  • MUST HAVE TWO OR MORE YEARS IN A MANUFACTURING QUALITY ROLE
  • Fluent in English - must read/write clearly for reporting - Bilingual (English/Spanish) Candidates strongly encouraged to apply
  • Strong math skills to include decimals, fractions, and conversions
  • Ability to use measurement and inspection tools including, but not limited to calipers and rulers
  • Ability to read and understand prints, schematics, and Bills of Material
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Excel/Sheets Physical Requirements for a
Quality Inspector:
This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. frequently during the workday. Most of the day is spent in a standing position with frequent bending and/or squatting.
Pay:
$21.00 - $28.00 per hour
