Job Title:
Mechanical Inspector Job Description We are looking for a meticulous Electrical/Mechanical Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting electrical inspections of assemblies and sub-assemblies using documented test procedures. They will document the test and inspection results in accordance with company procedures and perform dimensional inspections on products using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Responsibilities Conduct electrical inspections of assemblies and sub-assemblies using documented test procedures. Document test and inspection results in accordance with company procedures. Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Conduct visual and dimensional inspections as per procedures. Perform first piece and in-process inspections. Communicate inspection issues with production teams. Write non-conforming material reports for defective products. Support the development of test and troubleshooting techniques. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Ability to follow documented test procedures. Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Experience with measuring equipment such as DVM, Hi-Pot, and bonding resistance. Ability to operate test rigs. Knowledge of precision measuring tools. Ability to read blueprints and engineering documents. Experience with micrometers and calipers. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in electrical/mechanical inspection preferred. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Willingness to learn new procedures. Work Environment The position operates within a standard work schedule of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role is subject to ITAR regulations, requiring applicants to be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents. The work environment is structured around precision and technical expertise, utilizing advanced measuring equipment and tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Plainview, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
