QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

$54,080 - $58,240 annuallyPOSITION SUMMARY
International Wire Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team in Rome, NY. The Quality Control Technician supports daily manufacturing operations by testing and inspecting materials, monitoring product quality, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure products meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This position works closely with operators, supervisors, and other team members to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate in accordance with all safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Test in-process materials and finished goods in accordance with established operating procedures.
- Inspect materials on the production floor and properly identify finished goods.
- Perform in-process audits and evaluate production performance against quality standards.
- Track and report product rejections, audit results, and other quality data to Quality Management.
- Perform and maintain digital and physical calibration records for multiple facilities.
- Perform engineering sample testing and failure analysis testing.
- Complete scheduled weld certifications and maintain required records.
- Order, stock, and prepare solutions and chemicals for laboratory use.
- Serve as a calibration representative during internal, ISO, and customer audits.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, other shifts, and team members across the organization.
- Conduct on-the-job training for new employees assigned to the department.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and provide continuous improvement ideas related to safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost reduction, and efficiency.
- Support and comply with all applicable company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
