Job Description
Job Description Summary The NDT Quality Technician will support advanced QA/QC of leading-edge investment casting components through the use of various NDT inspection technologies. The technician will be proficient in operation and interpretation of multiple Radiographic inspection disciplines including CT and DR of various materials. The technician will work amongst a team of operators, Quality Engineers, and Process Engineers to validate component quality, develop repair plans, and qualify new products and processes. Aside from responsibilities in operating and maintaining various X-Ray equipment, additional quality inspection responsibilities will also include UT, VT (Borescope), and PT.

- Job Description Essential Responsibilities Level II NDT Functions from
CT/DR, UT, VT, PT
within ASNT Certification Discipline. Daily machine calibrations, maintenance, and long term PM tracking of overall X-Ray systems and cabinet. Proficient in MS office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) Proficient manufacturing computer programs (GOM, VG Studio, Python, clear orbit, Fiori) Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment. Coordinate all aspects of in-process inspections within cell(s). Analyze problems, identify ASNT defects associated with Visual and Radiographic defects. Evaluate and determine disposition of non-conforming materials and formulate corrective actions. Document standard operating procedures for daily operations, inspections, maintenance, environmental health and safety compliance. Provide process and quality support for development, first piece qualification, process improvement and productivity activities of new and existing suppliers and in-house qualifications. Radiographic Reads of parts/products. Qualifications/Requirements Associates Degree and 4 or more years experience in manufacturing or quality (OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Manufacturing or Quality. Knowledge of relevant Excel / Word packages and familiarity with Electronic Management Systems. Ability to understand, interpret, and create written technical information (i.e. Engineering drawings, machine manuals, and standard operating procedures). Level I or II Certification in Radiography (CT/DR).- Prior Casting NDT Experience. (CT, DR, Grain, FPI, UT, VT, Borescope.
- Proficient manufacturing computer programs (GOM, VG Studio, Python, clear orbit, Fiori)
- Understanding of casting inspection criteria and CTQ's
- Ability to evaluate the available data to make decisions on casting quality along with strong statistical tool experience.
- Ability to work effectively cross functionally
- Lean Principles.
- Prior union environment experience.
