A Quality Inspector inspects and evaluates products according to company quality control standards. Inspects goods or packaging in a production or manufacturing facility.
PrideStaff is currently working with a local manufacturer seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector. The Quality Control Inspector will inspect parts in all phases of production and develop inspection programs on the CMM. The ideal Quality Control Inspector candidate has at least 3 years of quality control experience or training, preferably in sheet metal fabrication, and knowledge of GD&T and CMM programming. The Quality Control Inspector position is a full-time, direct-hire position in Webster, NY.
Quality Control Inspector Job Responsibilities:
Inspect Parts in all Phases of production, including 1st Piece, Receiving, Final & In-Process Inspection Prepare First Article Inspection Report & Capability Study Measurements Develop Inspection Programs on the Advanced Metrology & Quality Control Tools Such as the CMM, Vision System, Faro Arm & Virtek Prepare Quality Documents for Quality Engineering such as FAIR Template Setup, PPAP Documents, Certifications, Capability Study Reports & Others as Required Document Quality Plans using SolidWorks & Create Manufacturing Process Control Documents Assist in Defective Product Dispositioning, Creating NCMRs & Setting Rework Operations Adhere to all Quality Procedures Follow all safety &
PPE Guidelines Quality Control Inspector Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 3+ Years of Quality Control Experience, Preferably in Sheet Metal Manufacturing Associate's Degree in Related Field & an ASQ Certification is Preferred Must have Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel Must have Experience using CMM Programming Software Experience with SolidWorks is Preferred & Minitab Experience is a plus Must have Working Knowledge of GD&T Strong Math Skills are a Must with a Focus on Trigonometry & Measurements Experience using Micrometers, Verniers, Scales, Height Gauges, Protractors & optical Comparators is Required; Advanced Measuring Equipment Experience is a plus Excellent Communication Skills, Verbal & Written Strong Attention to
