Compensation:

Schedule:

1st Shift , Monday - Thursday 5:00 AM-3:30 PM Benefits At 60 days of employment: 80 hours of PTO 1st of the month after 60 days of employment: Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life & AD&D ($20,000), Company Paid Short- & Long-term disability, Voluntary Life & AD&D (Up to $150,000 with no EOI at new hire enrollment), Allstate Supplemental plans: Accident, Critical Illness, Hospitalization. 1st of the quarter after 60 days of employment: 401(K)

Position Overview:

The Secondary Operator supports the manufacturing process by performing secondary operations on parts and products after initial machining or fabrication. This role involves tasks such as deburring, drilling, tapping, grinding, cleaning, or inspecting components to ensure they meet quality standards. The Secondary Operator helps maintain efficient production flow and contributes to the delivery of finished, ready-to-ship products. This is an entry-level position — no prior manufacturing experience is required, and on-the-job training is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform secondary operations such as deburring, drilling, tapping, grinding, polishing, or cleaning on parts after initial machine process
• Inspect parts and products visually or using measuring tools to ensure they meet quality and specification standards
• Follow work instructions, blueprints, and job orders to complete assigned tasks accurately
• Operate and maintain various hand tools and secondary equipment safely and efficiently
• Record production data and maintain logs of completed work
• Reports any defects, equipment issues, or process deviations to supervisors or control personnel
• Work as part of a team to meet production schedules and support continuous workflow
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred, but not required; this is an entry-level role
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and secondary operations such as deburring, drilling, or grinding
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, job travelers, and basic blueprints
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for performing precise tasks
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Basic math skills for simple measurements and record-keeping
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures and company policies

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Ability to lift or move parts and materials up to 40 lbs. as needed
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and tasks with consistent accuracy
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small parts and operating hand tools
• Ability to bend, reach, and stoop as needed to complete secondary processes or retrieve parts
• Visual acuity to inspect parts and perform detailed tasks
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery
