Job Description

Quanex is looking for a Quality Technician - 3rd Shift to join our team located in Cambridge, OH. The Quality Technician will be responsible for the assurance of product quality through the completion of lab tests, maintenance of the lab environment and management of certificates of analysis. What Success Looks Like:
Directing and coordinate troubleshooting adjustments in Dura. Complete daily Quality Assurance testing of bulk materials and finished products. Being able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel to properly quarantine suspect material and minimize line scrap/downtime in the event of a quality test failure. Reporting results and communicate nonconformance to the appropriate parties. Properly operating, maintaining and when necessary, calibrating lab test equipment. Ensuring the QA lab and lab storage area are clean and organized to ensure safety and productivity and to present a positive image to visitors. Assisting and maintain the Hold Area. Maintaining and recording all quality test data, per the company's Records Retention Policy. Work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision. Resolve recurring problems related to job responsibilities. Analyze that products meet its quality and release specifications. Work in a team environment to achieve production goals and objectives.
Your Credentials:
1-2 years of related quality assurance or related experience preferred. Must have or obtain Job Qualifying Task List (JQTL) in Dura and Flashing Departments for testing. Experience with Globally Harmonized System and Safety Data Sheets (GHS/SDS) preferred. The Hourly rate for this position starts at $19.70 commensurate with experience plus $1.00 shift differential.
