Job Description

Company Overview Chardon Metal has been machining and fabricating components for OEM's in vital industries for over 80 years. The Company has always been privately owned and we are committed to doing the the job right and treating our team right. Overview We are seeking a Quality Technician to replace a retiree. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring products meet engineering standards and customer requirements. Your priorities and assignments will be directed by the Production Control Manager, but you will also work closely with Engineering and the various department leads. This role could develop into Quality Manager. Duties Perform dimensional measurements using height gauges, micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, profilometer, comparator and CMM. Interpret customer and internal engineering drawings to accurately assess product conformity. Calibration of measuring instruments and maintaining records. Develop Quality Control Plans and PPAP documents. Inspect incoming product from raw material vendors and special process providers. Interact and communicate with customer Quality Technicians. Qualifications Experience inspecting machined parts. Thread knowledge is important. Experience with welding, heat treating and plating is beneficial
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
