We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team on 3rd shift
Job Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our plastic products and maintaining our high standards of excellence. You will work closely with the production team, conducting tests and inspections to identify any defects or discrepancies in the manufacturing process. With your keen eye for detail and commitment to quality, you will help drive the success of our organization and contribute to our reputation as a leader in the plastics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to properly inspect bottles and instruct other employees on disposition of suspect products. Measure and record data from samples, sorts, customer requests, etc. Oversee and maintain the non-conformance hold area. Verify and coordinate calibration of all plant measuring devices. Work with technical and engineering personnel on new products and sample retains. Trace defects to the point of origin to determine resolution for non-conformance issues. Prepare non-conforming product reports and quality alerts.
Attend meetings re:
quality, safety issues, changes affecting production, etc. Provide guidance, training, and support to inspection personnel. Support and assist with continuous improvement projects within the department. Perform other related duties and special projects.
You'll Be A Great Fit If You Have:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the plastics industry. In-depth knowledge of quality control processes and procedures. Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using quality control tools and software. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
