Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
The Wall Inspector is responsible for performing precise inspections of internal and external wall surfaces of aerospace airfoils and vanes during the metal finishing process. This role ensures components meet strict aerospace quality and dimensional standards by verifying wall integrity, coating consistency, and absence of defects prior to final approval.RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect internal and external wall surfaces of airfoils and vanes following metal finishing processes Verify wall thickness, uniformity, and surface quality using appropriate inspection tools and gauges Identify defects such as thin walls, over-grind, burn-through, porosity, cracks, coating inconsistencies, or foreign object debris (FOD) Interpret inspection results in accordance with aerospace standards and engineering specifications Accurately document inspection results and maintain traceability in accordance with quality standards Tag, segregate, and report non-conforming parts in accordance with company procedures Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper calibration and handling Any other duties as assigned by SupervisorREQUIREMENTS
Exceptional attention to detail and visual inspection accuracy Meet color perception standards needed in performance of job requirements (when required). 1-3 years of experience in aerospace inspection, manufacturing, or quality control preferred Familiarity with airfoil components, turbine blades, or similar precision parts is a strong plus Familiarity with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, thickness gauges, borescopes) Understanding of aerospace quality systems such as AS9100 and NADCAP preferred All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
