Job Description

Shift Schedule Monday - Friday 10am to 6pm Job Overview The individual will be responsible for performing inspection on products at various stages of production to ensure that customer specifications are being met, company quality standards are followed and consistent with current ISO and safety requirements.
A Day In The Life Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform random in-process roving inspections to verify the specifications of the process are being maintained. Number of roving cycles provided by site Quality Manager. Perform first piece inspection upon completion of set-ups, where applicable. Input Z notifications for non-conforming purchased (Z2) or manufactured items (Z3). Communicate in writing (email) any non-conformances found to supervisor of shift/area and quality team members. Assist in production disposition/ clean up and or maintenance of quality hold area. Know how to check the calibration status of measuring equipment on the factory floor and know the process for calibration at CMC (Is gage or calibrated item in date or out of date). Know how to source quality documentation (standard operating procedures, work instructions, process maps, et cetera) and other controlled documentation such as part drawings, inspection charts, et cetera within SAP/ local drive. Become familiar with the processes of quality hold, in-process rejection (IPR), material review board (MRB) and internal corrective action. Assists with quality training to ensure all employees are educated on proper techniques to adhere to quality requirements and processes. Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager. What will help you thrive in this role? High School Diploma or GED minimum. Ability to interpret industrial safety standards. Ability to use test equipment, computers and MS software i.e. MS Word, Excel. Must be willing to work in various work environments, schedules, and overtime. Must have adequate visual acuity with or without the use of corrective lenses. Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, specifications, and the NEC. Ability to work unsupervised. Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
