Job Description

Job Title:
Quality Inspector Job Description The Quality Inspector performs detailed visual and dimensional inspections of metal and aluminum parts to ensure they meet all specified standards and customer requirements. This role uses precision measuring tools, documents non-conformances, supports quality system activities such as audits and calibration, and helps prepare and package samples for shipment. The position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring accurate records within the quality system. Responsibilities Perform visual inspections to identify non-conformances, defects, and any deviations from specifications. Use tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to verify that all part dimensions are within specified tolerances. Test parts for hardness and other required properties according to established procedures. Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Package and prepare samples for shipment to customers, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Document all non-conforming parts in accordance with final inspection procedures. Record and document all material designated as scrap for the customer service department. Enter all non-conformances into the quality database with accurate and complete information. Inspect shipments of extruded and anodized parts supplied by external sources before they are shipped to customers. Assist with additional duties or testing as requested by the quality assurance leadership. Support ISO system functions, including participating in audits, assisting with calibration activities, and maintaining documentation. Work both independently and as part of a team to meet quality and production goals. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and follow established processes and procedures consistently. Essential Skills At least one year of quality inspection experience. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Proficiency with calipers and micrometers for dimensional inspection. Comfortable reading and interpreting measurements from tape measures, micrometers, and calipers. High school diploma or GED. Strong attention to detail and process-oriented mindset. Ability to complete tasks independently as well as work effectively within a team. Ability to lift 40+ pounds as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous quality inspection experience in a metal or aluminum environment. Experience working with metal and aluminum parts. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Familiarity with ISO systems, including audits, calibration, and documentation. Strong documentation and data entry skills for recording non-conformances and scrap material. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leetonia, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
